Our Filaments
Our Filaments
Premium 3D Printing Materials by SUNLU & 3P3D Printing Co
At 3P3D Printing Co, we only print with filaments that we trust.
All materials are tested in-house on our Bambu Lab and Creality printers to guarantee strength, finish, and safety.
We proudly use SUNLU as our primary filament brand — known for outstanding consistency, rich colour, and precision diameter control — and we supplement this with specialist engineering-grade materials for demanding projects.
Every filament we use is UKCA / CE compliant and meets EN71-3 toy-safety standards, ensuring our models and toys are safe for all ages.
Our Filament Range:
PLA (Polylactic Acid)
Best for: Toys, figures, decorative and prototype prints
Temp: 190–220 °C | Bed: 50–60 °C
- Easy to print, eco-friendly, and highly detailed
- Low warp, ideal for multicolour AMS printing
- Available in matte, silk, metallic, glow and transparent finishes
Our most popular filament for general printing and creative designs.
PETG (Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol)
Best for: Functional parts, bottle openers, enclosures and tool organisers
Temp: 230–250 °C | Bed: 70–90 °C
- Strong, durable and slightly flexible
- Excellent layer adhesion and chemical resistance
- Ideal for both indoor and light-outdoor applications
A perfect balance between strength and printability.
TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane)
Best for: Flexible parts such as phone stands, vibration mounts, gaskets and straps
Temp: 210–240 °C | Bed: 50–60 °C
- Highly flexible, elastic and impact-resistant
- Excellent layer bonding and abrasion resistance
- Ideal for products requiring flexibility and strength
Used for our flexible, shock-absorbing and ergonomic prints.
PVA (Polyvinyl Alcohol)
Best for: Support material for dual-extrusion or complex models
Temp: 190–220 °C | Bed: 50–60 °C
- Water-soluble support material
- Excellent adhesion to PLA and PETG
- Dissolves cleanly in warm water for smooth undersides
Used as soluble support for high-detail or overhanging prints.
PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate)
Best for: Transparent and food-contact prototypes (non-contact use)
Temp: 230–250 °C | Bed: 70–90 °C
- Strong, glossy and naturally clear
- Better layer adhesion than standard PLA
- Great for cosmetic or semi-transparent parts
Used where clarity and durability are needed.
PA (Nylon)
Best for: Mechanical parts and components requiring strength and flexibility
Temp: 240–270 °C | Bed: 80–100 °C
- High toughness and wear resistance
- Slight flexibility and vibration absorption
- Must be kept dry for best results
Used for durable, high-stress parts and engineering prototypes.
PA6-CF (Carbon Fibre Nylon 6)
Best for: Structural and load-bearing components
Temp: 260–290 °C | Bed: 80–110 °C
- Extremely strong and rigid with carbon-fibre reinforcement
- Withstands high pressure and temperature (120 °C +)
- Excellent for jigs, fixtures and components designed to be sat or leaned on
Our strongest material – aluminium-like stiffness and outstanding dimensional accuracy.
PA12-CF (Carbon Fibre Nylon 12)
Best for: High-strength parts needing flexibility and moisture resistance
Temp: 250–280 °C | Bed: 80–100 °C
- Carbon-fibre infused, slightly more ductile than PA6-CF
- Low moisture absorption and excellent impact resistance
- Perfect for automotive or outdoor mechanical components
Combines high durability with environmental stability.
PC (Polycarbonate)
Best for: High-temperature, impact-resistant tooling and mechanical parts
Temp: 260–300 °C | Bed: 100–110 °C
- Exceptional strength, clarity and heat tolerance
- Slightly flexible but incredibly tough
- Requires enclosure and dry filament for best results
Ideal for demanding engineering projects and precision components.
ABS & ASA
Best for: Engineering housings, enclosures and high-temperature parts
Temp: 240–260 °C | Bed: 90–110 °C
- High impact and thermal resistance
- Smooth surface finish – can be vapour-smoothed
- ASA adds UV-resistance for outdoor durability
Used for workshop fixtures and weather-resistant parts.
